Guttering is one of the main drainage solutions for your home. Without this, you could see damage accumulating very quickly due to the rain your home is exposed to.
The main function of guttering is to collect the water run-off from your roof so that it doesn’t just drain down the side of your home, potentially eroding parts of your wall or creating a breeding ground for rot. Instead, any water from rain will run into the gutters, which is usually made from PVC (very water-proof material), and drain down into the road’s drainage system outside of your home.
A number of things can cause your gutters to work less effectively; from the leaves which could fall into it, or from the storms which may cause damage. If they’re damaged, then it is important that you seek repairs as soon as possible, as otherwise more expensive damages could be caused.
